Are You a Beer Retailer? Read below to learn how BeerPetitions.com can help you!

You can use BeerPetitions.com to better understand what new beer brands your regular customers want to purchase. This tool is completely free for retailers and is being used by many retailers in the U.S. and Canada to increase craft beer sales and beer margins.

How To Use the Site:

Step 1: Search on your zip code to see if your retail location has been entered into our database already.

Step 2: If you can not find your retail name in our database, then you will need to add your location. You can add your retail location by clicking "Add Petition" (after you have registered and are logged in) and then click the link towards the bottom of the page that says "Add One Here!". We recommend you add a logo to your retail location for visual appeal.

Step 3: You will need to add a beer to petition at your retail location. Once you have clicked the "Submit New Location" button, you will prompted to add a beer name. We suggest you add a beer that you have heard many customers ask for, such as Fat Tire or Yuengling.

Step 4: VERY IMPORTANT - After you have added your location and a beer to petition, you will be brought to your newly created petition. You will see your retail location name underlined, with your address, city, and state under it. Click the underlined retail location name (which might be Springhill Wine & Spirits). You will be brought to your retail location page, and you will see a large button that says "Receive Location Email Updates" - this is the most important thing you can do. By clicking that button, you now will receive an email anytime someone adds a new petition for your retail location.

Step 5: Create several petitions for beer brands you are considering. This way, when your customers come to the site, they can find your retail location and add their name to petitions easily.

How To Promote the Site:

In order for BeerPetitions.com to be useful to you, you need to send your customers to your page and your petitions.

We can help you do this. We can customize the above sign (the one that says "Cant's Find the Beer You Want?") for your store name, have it laminated, and send you the sign(s) to post in high traffic areas.

We can also make small business cards for you to hand out to every craft beer customer that says "Go to BeerPetitions.com/your-store-name to tell us what beers you want us to serve".

If you would like us to do this, please email us at brandon@beerpetitions.com . We are happy to help get you materials to promote your petitions to your customers.

Testimonials From Other Retailers:

- Eric Shatzer - Beer Buyer for Springhill Wine & Spirits
"These posters you customized for us look excellent, you can go ahead and count us in to promote the site to our beer customers! Print us up four posters and mail them to us and I will place them in a few strategic spots around our store. I will also be reviewing your retailer resource page, which sounds like a very useful tool. Thank you."

- Rod Phillips - Director of Buying and Marketing, Liquor Plus
"I am the buyer for a chain of Liquor Stores in Victoria, BC that agrees wholeheartedly with your philosophy. The fact is that it is so much easier to stock name brands, but the returns are better with craft and import beers, so a little extra work, in my opinion, goes a long way. I will be the first to say that I would rather have the consumer tell me what they want, than me try to guess. We look forward to using BeerPetitions to direct our buying decision."

- Chris Montelius - Fresh Beer Inc. Distributor
"I think this is an awesome idea. I am a craft beer distributor but constantly tell the public that they have more power than I do at getting beers into new accounts. Now I finally have a way to show them. If you want to send us some posters I'll make sure that I get them placed in some good accounts."

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Rod Philips, Director of Buying at Liquor Plus in Victoria, Canada asks "once a retailer has brought in the requesting product, how can they respond to say so"?

After a petition has reached a critical mass, if the store owner has created the petition, then you simply go to your petition and click the button that says "Mark Petition As Successful", which will email everyone who has signed the petition to come in and get the beer. If someone else has created the petition, then the store owner should just email brandon@beerpetitions.com and let us know the petition is a success and we will mark the petition a success and the email will go to everyone who has signed. Great question Rod!
